The Grants Programme aims to fund projects in research as well as in the management, conservation and restoration of ecosystems, biodiversity and species in Catalonia.
These grants are awarded through open calls, which the following groups may apply to: universities and research centres, companies working on the conservation and restoration of the environment, schools, local councils, NGOs, nature parks and, in general, those organisations and institutions whose objectives are aligned with the foundation's activity.
Beneficiaries are selected according to the terms of each call.
The main objective of the Territory Programme is the conservation and restoration of the territory in order to improve the functioning and resilience of ecosystems and their biodiversity, thereby helping to mitigate and adapt to the impact of climate change.
To achieve this objective, the Territory Programme focuses on several types of project:
The Research Programme focuses on both basic and applied research into ecosystems and their biodiversity.
It promotes research projects on Mediterranean ecosystems in Catalonia, with special emphasis on inland aquatic ecosystems, through observational and experimental studies aimed at improving the knowledge and preservation of these ecosystems, their biodiversity and their species.
To achieve this objective, both material and personnel support is given to organisations, associations and research groups that collaborate with Fundació Bionexus and share its founding purpose.
